February 12 - 14th: SMITHS FALLS ANNUAL WINTER CARNIVAL ...... lots of fun for the whole family. Indoor and outdoor skating; Lions Pancake Breakfast; Chili Cook Off and afternoon Jam Session; Special Movie Feature; Saturday Night dance at the Legion; Free Family Fun all day Sunday with spaghetti supper and the Annual Trivia Challenge on Sunday at the Legion. Prints from the Past; Frances Jones Collection; Smiths Falls native Frances Jones was a printmaker and painter from the 1930’s to 1970’s….Come see some local history !

“Pretty In Pink” at County Fair Mall: 7-9 pm, in collaboration with Avon Canada and Cdn Cancer Society, Receive a face touch-up from Avon and then have your picture taken. Cost $5.00 Proceeds from picture go to Breast Cancer – there will be basket draw from Avon

"Stars in The Park"

During the Winter Carnival come out and see the Stars with "YOUR" Smiths Falls Amateur Astronomy Group. We will be set up to offer the public a glimpse at the Planets and Stars visable in the sky over Smiths Falls. We plan to set up at or near the Centennial Park. What's visable you may ask? Well hopefully the weather will cooperate and we will be able to see the Orion Nebula, Mars, Pleiades Cluster, the Andromeda Galaxy, maybe even Saturn which is due to make its appearance at around 11:30 pm.
